minor flesh wound, will probably buff out. Joking aside- are you asking about insurance co 'totaled ' or actual 'totaled'. I'm guessing an ins Co wold call it a day. Otherwise, if the frame ain't bent, why not repair / replace?

Estimators are looking at it today for insurance purposes. I am asking as a possible 3rd life for the truck. A previous owner abandoned her for 6 years. I pulled her out of the weeks and put a touch of life back into her.

Good thought. It's too late now to edit the poll.

Insurance company will total that. You could do the buy back, usually around 10% of the payout. So for the likely $3k they will give you for 300 you can have it back. Then you get with Paul Grant and Abran on here to find the body panels and other bits for cheap.

^^^this. but it will have a salvaged title so unless it was all you ever wanted and fully intended to keep it forever, take the payout and run. My '03 D2 was valued at $4800 or so, and it was going to cost me $750 to buy it back from Farmer's Insurance.

I would buy it back also for the right money. Or buy an LR3 with your new found riches!

They totaled my Buick century and I bought it back. since the car value was under $3k, they didn't reissue a salvaged title, and the insurance company even would insure it after I fixed it. The kid is driving it as a daily driver. looks just fine. (ran over a deer)

If you have the room and tools, fix er up and at least use it as a trail machine.

Buy it back for the $300.

Find one with a **** up motor/good body for $500. Swap motors and enjoy your spare parts. My mechanic charges $400 to do an engine swap.

$500 + $400 + $300 = $1200 investment
