I know what you mean about wanting a roof rack from day one. I'm still looking for sweet opportunity, but nice job on bagging yours! It even came with an assortment of lights--do you plan to add anything to it?

Thanks, I've had the Rover for 5 years and spent a good 3 of those years waiting for the right rack, researching vendors, forum classifieds, and Craigslist. Like I said, things just finally came together where I had the cash and the rack showed up for sale nearby.

It's already got a rhino-lined expanded steel flooring on the upper rear half. I'll likely replicate this for flooring in the lower front left and right sides. I'll eventually have straps fabricated to secure jerry cans and water. Ultimately, I'd love to get a roof top tent- but that will be another game of patiently shopping and waiting...

Overall, I just plan on using the rack frequently and letting necessity be the mother of invention for modifications. As the need for a mod, or occasional pop-up good idea arises, I'll go for it!
