Default My O2 sensors went bad in 3 weeks?

I got them replacd and now I have
P0159
P0150
P1174
P0174
P1412
P1415

I am aware about the SAI codes not being a big deal, but the other ones are a pain in the ***. I can feel the truck shifting a bit odd, and it smells again from the exhaust and idles rough on occasion. Can anyone give me advice for this situation? I took it back to the mechanic and they said that there was nothing wrong with the o2 sensors but I highly doubt that.

Edit: The O2 sensor close the passenger side, I believe this is {p0159 code) has oil all over it. Could this possibly be the reason?

I don't have the codes memorized but age of plugs, wires, MAF?

edit: but yes the sensors could have gone bad, though unlikely to work and then fail that fast. I have had dead ones out of the box however.

I believe you were given some advice about replacing the O2 sensors before getting to the bottom of why you were getting coolant into one of your cylinders. Remember that?

Have you addressed the root issue yet? Disappearing coolant?

Coolant was never actually getting into one of the cylinders. It was dripping out because of a bad housing and hoses. I got that replaced and it solved that issue.

The O2 sensors were replaced with that at the mechanic

Are you looking for troubleshooting help, or an argument to take back to your mechanic? Could be an engine problem, could be bad sensors, could be a different problem. You really have three choices:
  1. Trust your mechanic
  2. Do it yourself
  3. Get a different mechanic.

Was just looking for troubleshooting help.

But I'm leaning towards #3

Get a OBD tool, graph O2 readings.

Wiggle the ECU connectors, and see if anything changes.

for what it is worth. I had to replace my sensors twice. The first set I bought aftermarket from Roverparts and my truck hated them. Threw codes immediately even though they were supposed to be compatible. I had to shell out the big bucks from the dealer for four new sensors. My disco was much happier with that expenditure of monies.

@gleepglorp … what is the brand name of your newly installed O2 sensors?

From the RAVE manual...
P0159 - ???
P0150 - O2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 2, sensor 1) / Front sensor RH bank stoichiometric ratio outside operating band
P1174 - System too lean (bank 2) / Additive injector adaptive fueling - lean limit exceeded RH bank
P0174 - System too lean (bank 2) / Multiplication injector adaptive fueling - lean limit exceeded RH bank
P1412 - Secondary Air Injection System – Malfunction Bank 1 LH (Insufficient SAI flow during passive test)
P1415 - Secondary Air Injection System – Malfunction Bank 2 RH (Insufficient SAI flow during passive test)
