This looks great. I'm currently trying to figure things out with the 2003 D2 I've got. I've pulled the M20 plug to try to use an oil pressure tester there, but the kit didn't have any fittings for it, so I'm trying to get the sensor above it out to be able to read it from there. I'm wondering if it would just be easier to use this type of gauge to test the pressure, if it's accurate enough... The pressure test kit I have isn't electronic.
Can you link the kit you bought?
Did it include the sensor with the gauge?
Did you need an adapter? The gauges on glowshiftdirect.com seem to show an 1/8-27 NPT fitting. Can you link the adapter?
Can you show us how it needs to be wired in the D2?
you pick any oil psi gauge you need glowshift also sells the 1/8 to m20 adapter you need
wiring is easy it comes with guage and sensor
you plug in sensor using the m20 adapter
one wire from sensor to ground
one wire from sensor to inside vehicle
one wire to a switched power source
another wire to ground
it’s super simple. Glowshift website has the install instructions

i also bought the guage dash mount
i can’t login right now or else I would post the parts I bought
Thanks - I'll see if I can figure this out. Just confused why it needs two wires to ground, and, where the easiest place to get 12v (switched power?) is. I think I'll try reading the electrical diagrams in the manual and seeing if I can find what color wires to use and where to find them nearby.
Did you tighten the adapter and the new sensor to the same lb ft as it says to use for the oil pressure sensor in the RAVE manual? I believe it's 11 lb ft. Anything to seal it other than that?
I'll have to see if Glowshift knows the D2 enough to have specific instructions for this - bit uncertain of the wiring locations and best/safest ways to get the wiring into the dash without every single step being written out since I'm not too sure about any of this.

I just put Teflon tape on threads and didn’t torque just tighten to feel. Doesn’t have to be super tight
The beauty about wiring these is there is a already a connection port under the steering wheel fuse box S13 is a fused 12 volt source. Just plug in a space connector with wire
I guess most newer cars have this already. Makes it easy
Is S13 switched? I know that there's a switched source in the socket below it; that's what I use for powering devices.
yes it’s switched and the socket below is the same thing just different connector.
there is a guy on eBay that sells the proper connectors for both of these
That's cool - 12v source identified then, so that's the red wire taken care of. Do you know what kind of connector that S13 is, though? I don't know that I've got any spare connectors like that anywhere on the vehicle.
When you went through the firewall, did you go through an existing grommet or drill through? When you remove the cover beneath the steering wheel, you can see all the wiring coming through right there, I'm guessing? Just want to know what I can before starting off without knowing what I'm doing.
Where did you run the green ground wire though? I'm thinking I'll look for something like where I ran the 3 Amigos Option B grounding ring.
Did you bother with the dimming function on the gauge with the orange wire, or you just grounded that one too? Do you know what color wire in the D2's wire loom, the positive headlamp wire is?
