Thumbs up My revived Rover

Ok so some may remember my idea to part out the rover because the driveshaft broke and ruined the transmission.... well all is fixed for $500 dollars out of my pocket!

Now some may ask WHAT!!!!

The answer is AWESOME insurance. The rover just hit the 140,000 mile mark and a pot hole was struck causing the driveshaft to break. So, the bill was $4000 and all we paid was the $500 dollar deductible.

So to check things off the High Milage Maintenance List: For $500

Replace non-serviceable drive shaft X
Change Transmission Fluid X
Oil Change X
Change Transfer-case Oil X
Reseal Leaking T-case X
Alignment X
Change Differential Oil X

That is what I call a deal. Thanks insurance.

Sounds like a great deal. But what about the damage to the tranny you thought had happened?

Should have mentioned they replaced the transmission with a used one.

You are very likely right. I hope it doesn't go up too much.

If they do raise your rates, move to another company.
