Default my stupid. tap tap tap from front end

Mistakes are my greatest teacher. I've upgraded tires 255-265, but stupid me only had time to do the fronts, and save the rears for the next day.

Drove home, weird skipping, chirping from the tires, then vibrating. DAMN its 4 Wheel drive you idiot. Drove back to the "Barns" where I work on it.

All tires are 265 now BUT . . .

I get this Tap Tap Tap from the front end when Im driving. It only happens when I let off the accelerator or if im braking. It doesnt happen when I am on the accelerator pedal.

Thoughts of where I should look? It drives great. no vibration, only that damn tapping. I knew I screwed something up.

Ok this dont look good, looks like something (rubber boot) got chewed up. Anyone can shed some light on what this is and what I should know about replacing it?

Will do and thanks. Yet, no vibration, just taps and occasional clank. Thanks man!

Replacement is easy too. No jacking required, as you probably could've guessed crawling under and taking a photo. Took me an honest 20 minutes to replace.
