If your truck is an SE or higher, and leather seats, then you do have heating elements, likely.

I agree with Dusty1, should be fine. But be absolutely certain they replace the centering ball as well. The centering ball is what fails on these things and destroys the u-joints. I've read stories about shops doing the joints but not the ball. I'd be absolutely certain they understand you want the centering ball replaced, then I'd ask about it afterward to be sure they did it.

Honestly, you might be better going to a driveshaft shop, just because I'd trust them a bit more to do it right. These shafts are kind of a pain to rebuild.

If you are good with tools and have patience you can rebuild the driveshaft yourself for under $100 dollars, just mark its orientation and put everything back by your marks. No balancing needed. That beeing said I would not do it again.I would rather pay premium than to go thru that again.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to do it again either and I've rebuilt several driveshafts in the past.

These are a pretty big PITA.

I have to check some other local sources but one was $350 to modify mine.

so i just went through the whole drive shaft replacement. last thursday i noticed a squeal coming from the shaft. I checked in on friday pulled in on sunday, thought about rebuilding it, even pulled it all apart. then i decided, that I wanted it done right and I didnt have the proper tools to insure i could do it right.

so British parts of Utah has one for 350.00 that they have custom built.
Oriellys sells on for 395.00
lucky8 sells one 250 on ebay delivered or 235 on their website delivered
i went with a drive shaft shop that is local who did it for $300.

i would of bought the lucky8 one but the local drive shaft shop didnt it in hour and i would of had to wait a couple of days for a internet store to deliver it.
