Default Mystery connector

Wrapping up the driveline swap and while installing the condenser, drier and fan today I noticed this connector hanging out in the vicinity. It branches off from the harness at the same point that the fan, drier and ambient temp sensor leg does, but it's the only thing on that branch. Things I have determined it's not A) Fog light is working, B) Horn is working, but same type connector, C) Coolant temp sensor in the bottom of the radiator is connected (and a different style), D) Side repeater is working (wouldn't reach any way), E) no codes in over 200 miles so unlikely to be DME related. Wires are black and black w/ green. Can anyone ID this thing for me?

Edit: I guess I should have mentioned it's a 2003 D2

There should be a horn on each side of the grille.

There are two horns, a high tone and a low tone, one on each side of the grille. At least there is on my ‘99.

Sorry, I should’ve been clearer on the horn. Both horns are connected and it’s working correctly.

No ACE on this truck but that's a great suggestion that would not have occurred to me since I've never seen and ACE-equipped truck. I'm going to look at the 04 donor and see if I can find that connector on it. I can't think of any system up there that would require it however there must be something.

There are two ACE sensors, ones under the right hand frame rail halfway down the truck and the other is up by the front sunroof. The plugs are still there even if you don’t have ACE. I had a “what is this empty plug” mystery while under my truck a while back which is how I found that out.

But this doesn’t seem to be in that location, I’ll try to look in the electrical manual and dig something up, but be aware that there are plugs and wiring “left over” from options your truck may not have.

My parts truck has the ACE system. There are no ACE components up at the front in that area.
