Default Mystery oil leak. HELP!

Hi all.
I posted on here a little while ago but still trying to find the answer or someone with the same problem.

It an 03 Disco 2 4.6L v8 hunk o ****e. FYI

I have an an oil leak coming from behind the engine mounts on both sides of the engine.

Before you say it, no it's not the rocker covers or valley seal. I de-greased the engine and then ran it. The top is completely dry. But when I crawled underneath there is a steady seep coming from right where the motor mounts are on both sides.

Without removing these here I cannot pinpoint the location. So my question is this.

do the motor mounts bolt through the block lending itself to a potential leaking point? The bloke who had the car before me had them replaced they are brand new.

On the passenger side I found a 10mm square headed sort of grub screw bolt which I wound in (conveniently the same size as a half inch drive)
But no luck.

I don't mind a bit of a leak on a landy but this is too much. People in the car park keep asking me if I'm aware of the leak and to get strait to a garage. Never been to one in me life apart from MOT or smog 😁

Any info appreciated.

also Ive put a picture on of the leak.

This bolt is the issue. Pretty sure those aren't factory, looks like a fix for a slipped liner. Remove, RTV, replace.

Hi Red5. Yea your right. Its a slipped liner and its pinned. Although that is leaking a little it doesn't seem to the issue i am chasing. Unless there are more behind the mount?

I might just pop the mount off and have a look behind. Is it fairly easy once the engine is supported?

Here is the info from RAVE (LR Manual) you will need to remove the mounts.

So I take it the bolts are not connected through to the sump?

Correct, the motor mount plate is bolted to the engine block. The oil pan/sump is below.
