Default N00b Q - RoverParts or Tom's Wood Driveshaft

At 130k my local mech gave me the advice of getting a new driveshaft thats servicable before mine goes.

So, RoverParts at $520+shipping or Tom Wood at $420 free shipping?

Lucky8 says Toms Wood if over 1.5 of lift. I have 2”. Should have stated that originally, sorry.

Im not sure where GBR in Utah tags in cost wise- but i understand similar quality to Tom woods.

Im not blown away from the Tom woods I use. I have both front & rear. Both showed up paint not dry yet. Now both fairly well rusted. Had to have front center ball rebuilt after 1500 miles.

My Tom Woods center ball (front driveshaft) also dis-integrated (broke off) after a couple of years.

If lifted do not buy the L8. I've got 2 tom woods with over 20K miles on both with zero issues.

I road the lucky8 one with 2 inch lift and no issues until I went to 3 in. Then I upgraded to GBR.

I’ve been happy with Tom Woods but agree with SundayFunday. Paint they use was thin and they started rusting so I had to paint. Most important never had a balance problem.
