Default NANOCOM now offering a way to pay online! Im in!

Well ive wanted one of these nanocoms for awhile but they required u email them your cc info and i just didnt feel save with it in email form over the net forever even though im sure some safety protocols must be in place... anyway, they just emailed me with a link to pay online! The rep said they just started that service and it was secure and got a receipt after payment.. anyway, im excited to get one, ive tried another cheaper one that just didnt do what i expected... ive also upgraded my 00070 SLABS to the 150 as mine was showing communication error with foxcom 530 which i returned as i think there is an issue with it and D2 maybe an update is needed... it did some nice functioning but would not allow brake bleed or read VIN as it was said to be able to do... maybe nanocom will recognize it .. anyway i saw others had similar issues on net discussing the 530 so i returned.... in my case i felt it was more of the 530 than a wiring issue as my RWS AMIGOS works
flawless seeng BOTH the SLABS Units...

Yeah, there was always something very sketchy about having to email your credit card info to some guy in Cyprus. Welcome to the NANOCOM family.

HOORAY! lol yeah i took the leap.. thanks for the family membership! I've debated this for a decade going back and forth with other devices that kind of do the jobs but power bleeding which can be done manually is nice to do with the correct equipment... i havent had too many REAL issues just pesky ones.. heck just yesterday I saw a hidden page about the possibility of P0441 code can pop if non factory gas cap is used.. that happened to my older 80s bmw but i never saw any reference about it on the landy.... ive gotten than from time to time but hasnt set... mostly i have few irritating things like now... in hot south Florida ONLY with A/C on this stupid thing runs hotter than expected and runs down my battery which i think has been a culprit to replacing my battery every 3 years ish... i just replaced a new battery about 1 year ago and sure as anything BAM my disco started buckin and ultragauge started showing voltage plunge and it died... alternator went the way of the dinosaur... fortunately I still had my OLD optima red top on its maintenance charger at home i had replaced for this new one because disco would start and was showing 8v one day( I was a mile from home and redtop with no alternator made it home!!) ... Ive now been using it it fully charged and its been working... however even though it tests correctly as good it runs down ONLY when car is running with A/C ON .. both batteries maybe have been compromised and a little weak is my guess from the alternator failure but with the new alternator both batteries run and start and run no issues 13.8 give or take charging and no leaks from alternator to battery... but soon as a/c is on.. BAM they start draining i just replaced blower motor this am and i did look for a paracitic drain form battery and nothing it went all the way down to about .03amps after modules went to sleep around 6 minutes or so... so... and i tried the FOXWELL 530 which could not see my VIN or allow brake module bleeding and said no data error comms with SLABS which i replaced and tested again and same issue... i retuned it as no real directions and decided i love my disco so it deserved 500 smacks for a NANOCOM! im not badmouthing FOXWELL as many peopel like em but in my case whatever is causing the issue is (ive also checked grounds) , the FOXWELL didnt have enough following or literature for me to understand and I hadnt heard abck from them after a week with a question so i just went NANCOM! and I will be happy! I can just tell! lol. oh one other thing... is it possible for the fan speed relay to work and fan work but draw too much if it has shorted or something else going on? my a/c showed to be ok but it doesnt get super icy like it did once and even after service... just a question.. maybe thats the issue... since new fan replacment tjhis am the wires dont get hot when a/c is on but the ultragauge is reading about 13.2v when a/c is on and 13.8 when its off.. maybe thats normal

on a side note about error reading on FOXCOM ... just to verify it was the FOXCOM and not my wiring not reading the SLABS, i hav the RWS Amigos reader than easily read the SLABS and clears all the codes it can clear, so IM assuming there IS good coms to the SLABS but FOXCOM could not detect from its own software at this moment in time

i see online instructions that say to do all this activation stuff... i thought it was already activated with my D2 software... i did have to enter serial to activate device but do I also have to install all the software? if so I need an SD card or borrow a windows computer....

UPDATE: no big deal works great! ill send up some pics when its not so hot outside lol I did have to enter 2 codes but they were easy and I formatted an SD card to FAT32 and stuck it into nanocom to save files.. but ONLY after its booted up otherwise it keeps saying loading SD card.. most likely in its BIOS to look there first in case u have an update or something..

You will enjoy the Nanocom. It paid off itself after the first few times I used mine to troubleshoot an electrical problem.

im dealing with an electrical issue as we speak but still learning if the NANOCOM can help... seems I may be getting some amp draw draining battery but i pulled all the fuses and relays one at a time and nothing changed... so i kind of decided maybe the computer modules are still on... i dont know yet.. so dang hot n steamy out side here in south florida on pavement u really get fed up pretty quickly lol. not sure yet how NANOCOM works but Im learning! i guess I dont see how I can update my SLABS to a replacement one. 0007 to 00150 or something like that off top of head... i didnt see any settings to show its been updated... i guess I just goto slabs manual settings and just turn on and off what my current vehicle has? it does read the codes and everything but this thing has a LOT of features...
