Default Need the Brain Trust....Master Cylinder Question

Yes I have searched.

Looked at the Rave and my questions still exist...

I bought a Master Cylinder off Ebay and it was delivered today.

It looks decent quality but seems to maybe be missing something.

It does not include the yellow plastic cap on the end like some others do in pictures.

This little piece isnt even shown in the Rave. At least I didn't see it in the brake section. I'm not sure how it even attaches to the MC unless its a pressure seat of some kind.

My Questions

1) Am I supposed to re use the one that is on the truck or do I need to order a new one somehow?

2) According to Atlantic British there should be a large O ring as well. Do I reuse that?

The one I bought off Ebay (no yellow bushing)

From the Atlantic British site...

Pictures shown for reference.

Yellow fitting is held on with two molded hooks. No place for it on the new one. I am not familiar with the new one, but if it works go with it. The o-ring does seal the MC to the booster, if it fits the new one use it!

Newer aftermarket units don't have that plastic piece at the back, but yes do keep the O-ring so it is sealed at the booster.

I suspect it's the difference between an OEM-style MC (steel/not cast body) and an aftermarket MC (cast body). OEM uses that piece, and the aftermarket cast ones do not since it is built into it.
