Hi

I need a Diagram on how to take out the gas tank and change the fuel pump. Its for 1996 Land Rover Discovery.

You don't have to take the gas out.
The LR has a cover in the back inside under the carpet so you can
get to the fuel pump.
Just disconnect the battery and work slow so you don't get gas on the carpet.

No you don't, you are just trying to make a simple job way to difficult. Have you heard of plug and play, well thats what you get to do.
Also, check for excess crap in the tank, replace the fuel filter and the fuel pump relay to make sure your fuel issues are put to rest.

May be we should start with trhe basics, what is wrong with your truck, how many miles on it, have you already replaced the fuel filter and relay?

HI

The problem is there is no sound comming out from the fuel pump when ignition is on, Miles 177000, have not replace fuel fliter and relay. Also where is the fuel fliter is located?

Does your truck run?? If not, use a test probe to verify power to the pump, realize, the pump only runs for a couple of seconds and shuts off if the engine is not running.
The fuel filter is a standard size and can be bought from any auto parts store. It is located in the r/r well bolted to the frame, plan on using lots of peneprating oil to loosen the two fittings.
