Default Need a favor regarding steering shaft....

Can someone take a quick cell phone pic for me? Should all the spine section at the firewall be covered by the shaft end? Is it typical for the last bit of spline area near the firewall to be showing? Thanks!

The bolt in the U-joint will locate the steering shaft in the correct position on the splined shaft, there is a groove for the bolt between the splines.
It only goes on in one position, no worries.
I put a remanufactured steering shaft on my D2 a couple months ago.
