Default Need help!!!

My first Rover. 01 Discovery Series II

Can't seem to find a name for this! Its to the right of the drive shaft of your sitting in the vehicle!..

this is my only vehicle at the moment, and I work all weekend.. so how damaging would it be do drive without it..?

Autozone will not carry it. It's not necessary for driving but it keeps dirt, water, and other debris away from the torque converter. So just buy a used one from a junkyard, eBay, or anyone here selling parts, as soon as you can

Yeah, in a pinch, just find a can lid big enough, punch three holes, bolt it in. Fix it right when you find a proper original plate.

Even duct tape, if it holds, will keep trash out. Or stuff a nerf ball in it.

Just stay on the pavement till you locate one. You don't want sand or water getting in there
