Default Need help!!!! Brakes squeak?

Hey guys I just replaced the brakes and rotors on my 04 rover because they were squealing like crazy. the pads were not totally wore out but I replaced them anyway. rotors were original and passenger side needed to be turned apparently from the last brake job. Anyway replaced them also.
I used brake quite on the back of the pads as always but the squeak is still there.
One thing I did not do was replace the screws that hold the rotors on, I had to drill them out and could not find replacements at any of the auto parts stores, and it was Sunday so land rover dealer was closed.
Anyway is there anything else to check that may be causing this. This only happens at slow speeds.

please help it is driving my wife crazy who is driving me crazy.

thanks

apply lots of grease to the rotors..that will take care of the squeal and the wife! j/k....how long has it been squealing? maybe the new pads make more brake dust...I'm surprised the 3 amigos have not come on yet..DIIs do not like brake noise.

Lots of grease on the rotors??? I have always heard to keep them clean and free of grease but I will try anything.
they started squealing about 2 weeks ago, and just this Sunday i but on the new pads and rotors.
The brakes and rotors are made by Duralast, got them at AutoZone. and no Amigos yet.

NiteTrain is messing with you. You are going to have to get use to peoples sarcasm and wise *** comments. It's how we deal with the stress associated with owning a Land Rover. Your number one problem is your cheap brake pads followed by your cheap rotors. Trust me I have already been there. Disco Mike as well as others have recommended that I use DBA rotors and Akebono ceramic brake pads. They are more money but last a lot longer. My current setup has only lasted 23,000 miles and the cheap pads warped my rotors and caused the three amigos to return from their long hiatus.

x2 on akebono brake pads. You can get away with cheap rotors but not cheap pads.

i put advanced auto Wearever rotors on, and Akebono pads, quiet as can be, and nice stopping power. NO brake dust either! im very happy. Advance Auto always has sales online, i would order online versus in store. you can usually get anywhere from 10-20% off, if not more.

the bottom line is, if you go with a good quality brake pad and rotor you will have no probs, that quiet grease stuff is crap, what usally ends up happening is it get hot melts off and gets all over your wheels and makes them sticky,Yes the grease idear was a bad joke, just take the brakes off all together, you will get better fuel milage as you wont have to stop and get going again, as they wont be there they wont make any noise.Good luck!
