Sorry, I was incorrect. The SD highlander rack has a diameter of 1". (Not circumference)

$80+? Dam! Is that the cost for a pair or just for a individual unit? I thought I paid to much for mine...... I saw some of these components at the hardware store for under $10 but it did not have the extending part attached ^^

 

Why not just purchase pieces of strap steel and cut some 2 to 3 in tabs and drill holes the diameter you need to bolt to rack and light. If you offset them at an angle you can bolt them right on. You would have the light bar on the outside of the rack though.
