Default Need help. Power Steering problems

I have a 03 D2, the power steering pump had a slight groan when I started it this morning. I have driven about 20 miles, made a low speed turn and there was little steering assist. I stopped and checked for leaks. The steering box and pump are both dry. The reservoir had bubbles though. When I started the engine back up after bubbles dissipated, the drive pulley to the pump looked 'wobbly'. I am about 300 miles from home on vacation. Any ideas? Can I bypass the pump if I can find a smaller serp. belt? I am concerned the 'wobble' makes driving it an issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are in trouble, with your pump failing, you can loose the pump pulley and belt drive completely. You have to replace the pump and most likely the belt if you plan on getting home with your truck.

Thanks Disco Mike. I was able to get to the nearest auto parts store. They are having a pump brought over from another store. The belt looks to be okay, but I do have a spare. I will be pulling the pump and waiting for the replacement to show up. Should be a few hours. I have the Rave with me as well. Anything I should be aware of?

Wanted to follow up on this thread. After waiting 6 hours for the part to arrive, I got the new pump in and bled the system. Worked like a champ. I keep a tool bag of all the tools I used for replacing my head gaskets. It has come in very handy and I highly recommend keeping a good set of tools with you.
