Your engine a a total of 3 idler pulleys, you should replace all 3 at the same time and yes, they are easy to replace.

I think that would be the AC or ACE pulley if you have it? Check this diagram.

It possibly could be. But it could also just be air in the system. Do 1-2 cold bleeds and get back to us.

Check the drains for the A/C housing, they could be plugged up letting water build up in the housing (A/C and defrost settings dehumidify the cabin air so it has to drain somewhere). The drains are accessed from under the truck, one drain on either side of the transmission, they look like a hose attached to the floor tunnel, there is a kind of pinch valve on the end of the hose, water is supposed to open it but I've seen that fail a number of times. If you squeeze the tube (like milking a cow) it typically will open up the drain and you will end up with water all over your arm (and possibly your face, depends on where you are lying). It might be something more serious but I always check the simpler (and cheaper) options first. GL

so here is the update... I hadn't had time to burp it or check the valve.. Monday Morning I have to drive 6.5 miles to work, but mile 5 my beak light comes on my temp goes red, the gauge eventually drops to dead cold but the red light that came on stays on. I open the hood and there is steam/smoke from the resovoir and looks like it was leaking. I let the truck sit for two hours and put almost an entire bottle of coolant. the wife was with me so she cranks up and drives home.. the red light stayed on, the temp gauge is going all over the place and by time she's home the service engine light is on and she hears a noise in the engine.

fast forward to tonight thursday i add another bottle of coolant and it fills the resvoir but then drains down..

I'm screwed aren't I?

Check your oil level. If it's way above full then yes you blew a HG or worse. Are you seeing any steam in the exhaust. These should never be driven hot.
