I have done a search, I have looked through the Atlantic British website, I have read through both my owners manual and the workshop manual. I think that the seals that I am looking for have a technical name that I am not familiar with. Would it be possible for someone to help me with the names of the seals below so that I can halfway sound like I know what I'm talking about when I call to order them.

1. engine rear seal
2. front and rear tranny seals
3. front t/case seal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

The seal between the engine and the transmission is called the rear main seal. Usually a metal seal.

 

How do you know you need these seals? Have you power scrubbed youyr engine to confirm whatexactly is leaking?

You wrote me an email suggesting that I replace all of these seals when I have my new tranny installed. You probably talk to a ton of people so don't sweat it.

Just wanted the technical name for these seals so that I can order them.

 

engine rear seal-- rear main seal

front and rear trans seals-- Tranny input shaft seal, and output shaft seal respectively...

your t/case seal name is spot on...

all this talk of trannys and seals...
