Default Need new tires - looking for recommendation

Currently running BFG K02 255/70-16 with 16x8 0offset.
2" lift Fox Shocks with EMU springs.

These are really good tires on the trail, muddy, rocky, sandy etc... I love them 10/10 but I'm 50/50 with them on pavement.

I just want a bigger tire now. I just want to fill my fender wheel a bit. I was kinda scared running too big of a tires at the time because I didn't want to rub... Also, will I need to re-gear if I run bigger tires? If yes, what gears do you guys recommend?

Also, if you guys have any better lighter wheels... My wheels is 27.5 lbs. ea

What kind of driving are you looking to do and what climates . If you go for a more mud terrain vs the ko2 all terrain be ready for more noise and less highway drivability but better off-road performance also if you go above and around the 33” tire mark you will start to run into issues with regearing. I have a 32.5 and I can feel it being sluggish but regearing isn’t needed

Why not keep the current tires for offfoad days buy a set of rims and put some all seasons for everyday driving
that’s what did

stock rims looks ugly and I don't wanna buy another 2K set oF wheels.

All terrain tires only.

I'm more of a weekendlander. I'll see what's 32s that's avail. How wide?

No need to regear. The ratio of people on this forum who’ve actually done it vs the number that tell other people to do it is 1/10,000. I’ve got a 3” lift and 33s , stock gears, stock brake lines and have zero issues.

Running 33s at 10,000 ft makes you wish you had regeared but more so a better motor... 2" lift I'd run 265/75/16 and probably go with the Falken Wildpeak AT3, have a few friends running them and they absolutely love them. I'm not a huge K02 fan after multiple sidewall issues.

For on/off road the BFG KO2 you already have is going to be extremely hard to beat. 265/75R16 is a nice size tire for a 2inch lift. Gear wise I've never re-geared and 2 of my D2's are running 32/32.5 inch tires. Goodyear Duratrac is another good tire, but they've gone up in price. Falken has a nice AT tire as well.

I've always been a fan of the BFG AT/BFG KO2. It's a great looking tire, with great traction, and it wears well.

If you got a wild hair and wanted some aggressive looking tires, for not a lot of $$$ go on Ebay and look up the Korean Tire Thunderer M/T. It's available in 265/75R16 and the sidewall is extremely nice looking, and the tread isn't bad either all for around 550.00 for a set of 4 shipped. I have 2 sets one set of 235/85R16 on my 97 XD, and another set of them in 245/75R16 for my 95 D1. I'm sure on the highway their life is probably a 40K tire if that, but for 500.00 they really can't be beat. Good traction off road, and super aggressive looks with a nice built in rim protector.
