Im meeting up with some 4x4 enthusiasts this Thursday for a day of offroading on the Old Florida Road in Western Massachusetts. Anyways my fron bumper does not appear to have any recovery points. I want to install shackles but Im not sure where. Also confused why a reputable ARB product would not come with shackles as standard?
Since you're short on time, the quickest and easiest thing would be to enlarge a hole into the frame tie-down slots big enough to get the pin of a bow shackle through. Or use a soft shackle in either of them, making sure to locate the protective sleeve of the soft shackle at the point where it comes into contact with the frame tie-down.
To answer your other question, while the ARB Sahara bumper gives some improved approach angle and the obvious upgrade in going from plastic to steel, it's more of the fancy mall crawler "appearance" choice from the ARB bumper line, as opposed to the hard-core bull bar model which comes with two spots for shackles right on the face of the bumper.
Have a blast on Old Florida Road! One of the classic New England Wheeling trails. Lots of fun.
Thanks. Unfortunately the Sahara bumper also does not include a winch tray and it did not take much to bend the passenger side of the bumper up into the front quarter panel wing. Pity.

Sorry to hear that! Old Florida Road has its unforgiving spots for sure! Any pics of the damage? What's your plan? New bumper and wing?
