Spent months trying to fix my Passenger front door, posted here several times, purchased 2 new motors, 1 new mechanism but still doesn't work. I just purchased this tester and tested the electric and it give me a reading of 0.03 (see pic) does anyone have any idea what that indicates? should it be more? and what are the possible fixes?

That is the voltage. It basically means that your window motor is not getting any power. I believe it should get 12 volts (someone correct me if I 'm wrong). This could mean that there is a short circuit somewhere or that there is no continuity due to a bad wire. At worst, it is the control module. Maybe a fuse if your lucky.
I would check the ground for the motor and see if there is continuity to the negative on the battery.

 

Are you acutating the switch while doing that?

and exactly what range do you have that meter on?

I also assumed you checked the switch for proper operation with that meter before you tore into the door panel? Did you also check the fuse?

Simple system except for going through BCU.

Fuse powers both sides so that should be good.

Attached trouble shooting package is information I put together from D2 area of Rave download.

Power and ground for motor are two wires to/from BCU.

Switch has two wires to BCU for up/down and one to ground. 4th wire is for lighting.

Time to remove connector(s) and check switch. If good check wiring for continuity. If all checks out possible BCU issue.

If not up for it yourself print the info and give to somebody who knows what they're doing.

Yes, I was actuating the switch, I set the range as per instructions I saw, it is in the picture attached to my post. I actually replaced the switch first before I did anything else. The weird thing is that when I disassembled the door and looked at everything and tested it all, the motor worked fine, and also the mechanism seemed fine when I separated it from the motor....but when I attached the mechanism back to the motor nothing happened. So, I bought a new motor and mechanism and now not even the motor will work. Is it possible I have created a short in the panel somewhere? I seem to be moving in reverse. In that case first wiring I'd check would be between the motor and first connector. Check for power at C0463, if good, probably have an open in harness between there and motor.
