New 2003 disco owner questions...
Questions:
Is it impossible to install aftermarket Sunroof/Moonroof in a 2003 Disco?
I want a roof rack that is versital (can carry long stuff, ie. Kayaks, DN class Ice boats packed up, perhaps dock with standard ski and snowboard Thule type attachments), but is more heavy duty, sits lower, looks tougher and maybe has a small cage to put loose stuff, and could accommidate a few lights, any ideas?
The Rover sat for a bit and now has a quick sharp squeak right as it brakes. I only drove it down the block and back, do the rotors just need to scour off the bit of rust that has come from sitting for a few months or is a issue that needs to be resolved with the brakes?
Any insight for an undercoating?
I use Royal Purple 30 Weight in my BMW, what is the best for a Range Rover?
Anything I should be doing on the regular with Maintenance that I wouldnt know off the cuff?
Thank you again!

did you buy a discovery or a range rover?
do you currently have moonroofs? I'm sure you can find some shop to put new ones in but it will not be cheap..do yours leak or something?
rack - if you've got the $$$ to spend
http://www.roverracks.com/DIIVR.htm
no idea about undercoating, we don't use it down here very much..but I did use some of that undercoating in a can one time on a Jeep..seemed to work ok
my rover seems to be happen with mobil 1 10w40 full synthetic but royal purple is good too
regular maintenance - check your VIN, if it's in the oil pump failure range be aware of that..check your front drive shaft..if it is not greaseable..rebuild it immediately

The factory front drive shafts does not have serviceable U joints in the double cardan, only the single U joint has a grease nipple. The U joints dry out and fail. This has been discussed a million times, check under How Tos on rebuilding the drive shaft.

Call Bill Davis at Great Basins Rovers in Salt Lake City, he has a great one for around $350.
Your rotors are most likely rusted from sitting, drive it a little and it should go away.
How many miles on the truck, when was it last serviced?
Have you called Rover to see if the vin on that 03 is on Rovers hit list for possible oil pump/engine failures, if not do so.
Oil weight will depend on where you live, I run 10W/40 in the summer and 5W/30 in the winter with a K&N 3001 or Mobil 1-301 extra large oil filter, here in Colorado.
