Default New CDL TCase cant shift lo

Hey y'all,
I have installed a transfer case from what I was told a 2001 D2 with CDL into my 03 discovery. (current build)
from what I am gathering the neutral safety switch is in the shifter handle of the 03 and the 01 xfer case is on the front output shaft with a lead of 2 wires. This leaves me not being able to shift into low as the ECU is not sensing a safe signal from the Xfer case. (that's if the solenoid is good)
Is there anyone with any experience to just run two wires extended to connect or is it a matter of taking the solenoid out completely due to a incompatibility.

Thanks in advance

How do you plan on engaging the CDL? If you plan on using a D1 style lever, or some other lever that doesn't have the safety solenoid in it, then I would suggest using the one built in the case, like you are talking about, extending the wires or whatever.

If you are going to keep using an 03-04 style shifter, just remove the one in the case.... which you could do that anyway if you want.... just don't left anyone play with the shift while you are driving.

I'd just pull the solenoid.

Thanks yall,
I was entertaining buying the ashcroft or an 04 cdl lever but it woudl still leave the wiring in question.
Plus, NC's lemon law would prohibit me from selling the vehicle without a safety device... this being one. (thats if and when I wanted to sell)
so I was avoiding doing it twice and doing it right the first time.

Thanks again,
