Take all the wiring off of the transmission.
Clean the plugs.
Plug back in.

Clean XYZ switch and reinstall.

Also, did you refill the tranny? If so, did you do it when it was running and shift through the gears?

I havent wanted to mess with the tranny fluid because it wont start so I cant run through the gears. Do you suggest I let it sit empty as apposed to full of crap. I am torn at this juncture. I just figured a rebuild would do the trick once I suss out the starting issue.

I keep reading in the forums that Low Battery/Voltage will cause Trans Errors. Maybe?

why do you keep starting new threads? doin my head in. so lets get this straight. you flooded your truck. didnt check the fluid (which is most likely contaminated) and then proceeded to drive it home? why would it sit empty? after you drain it you fill it until it can't take any more. once you get the truck running then you can cycle thru the gears and finish filling it. but driving around with water in the transmission or transfer case isn't going to do any good. like i said in thread #2 of 3. where did you source the tranny ECU and do you still have the old tranny ECU? we already ruled out the xyz because you said you cleaned it. It's a mechanical switch so as long as the contacts are not corroded it will work properly. Plus the XYZ wouldnt prevent you from getting your key out. I'm targeting the tranny ECU because the tranny ECU is not telling the ECU that hte truck is in park. I'm hoping the rest of the codes are just caused by shorts in the board because you have pulled different codes every time you turn the key.

Ed, my apologies on the three threads I have created. I am new to forums in general. Bad etiquette, my bad. I opened the old TCU and it contained a good bit of dry mud so I found another on Ebay for $40 that matched my vehicle( I understand this could be suspect ).

I just want to say that this is a project and a learning experience. Mistakes are part of the process. I am not trying to break things or make them worse but sometimes it happens.
