New coil pack questions
Hi all,
Burnt a plug wire so I'm installing a new set. My truck has 246K miles on it and runs great. Existing coil packs are original (Bosch), but I decided to replace them seeing I was going to be in there.
Original (Bosch) coil packs seem to be doing just fine (do these things ever fail?). New ones are AllMakes / made in China.
I'm hesitant to put the new coil packs in and have them be of lesser quality or fail before the originals.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

All coil packs over time will eventually give out less & less of a "Hot" spark. I've used plenty of generic Non Bosch coil packs on D2/P38's with zero issues. The coil pack is the same unit used on older 4 cylinder Kia Sportage's with the exception you need 2 coil packs vs just one for the KIA. Rock Auto has all sorts of coil packs listed for Kia Sportage/Land Rover D2's. I'd buy them vs anything made by AllMakes4x4.
