Default New to forums 02 D2 Problems

Hi, I am new to the forums so Thanks in advance for any info on my problem. Kind of long...
Well we just bought a 2002 D2 that had recently had the head gaskets done. Running great for about 4 weeks and then it broke down on my wife. When I went to check it out about a mile away, It started and acted like it was choking for fuel and at low rpm was popping in the intake. At low RPM it would die.
I had to keep the engine revs high to get it home.

It threw the codes P0102 MAF/ P0444 Purge control/ P1884 Intake Air Temp/ P0340 Camshaft Postion sensor malfunction/ P1590 ABS/ P1668
When I was checking under the hood I noticed a broken wire.

Passenger side injector harness that comes out from under the intake by the alternator and runs over to the fuse panel. I had two Brown/pink wires severed on the fuse panel side and one brown/pink on injector side (if you follow me). I stripped the tape down on the injector harness and could not find another severed brown/pink wire.....so it looks like it was 2 spliced into 1 brown/pink...??

The purge control valve has a brown/pink wire to it, as does the MAF.

I looked at my 04 SE7 and there are 2 brown/pink wires spliced together with blue wrapping at the splice point, however it is 2 spliced into 2 which I am assuming is because of the secondary air injection on it.

1. Does anyone have an 02 D2 without secondary air injection that could tell me if they show 2 brown/pink spliced into 1 brown/pink?

2. Any ideas where to begin after that with the codes being thrown?

Thanks.

as long as the wires match colors - strips match, you'll be OK.

As the wires are now fixed, reset the codes and try again.

Check for vacuum leaks.

Ok, Spliced the 2 wires into one.

Last night Fired it up. Idled seemed to run ok for a few seconds at first reved a few times to keep it running, when I would start to push the gas pedal it would cut out so let it run for a few......it ran at idle for about 2 -3 minutes as soon as engine temp started to warm up it cut out and would not re start. Let it sit for a while and did the same thing described above and could not get it to throw any codes.

Went out this morning started up this time it started popping in the intake right away and threw the following codes

P0102
P1884
p1590

Took off the air cleaner(Previous owner put a cone filter on it) Cleaned it and Cleared the codes.

It ran good so drove to the top of our lane and back (2 Miles)

Drove nice no issues, came back stopped....idled a bit rough and died

Threw the same codes P0102/ P1590/ P1884

Vacuum seems good.

Could my MAF sensor be going bad?

Thanks
