Hi everyone. I am really new at the whole land rover lifestyle. But I bought a $500 disco 2 and then a $200 disco 2 donor and now have a running vehicle Anyway, I was looking for another donor for some used parts and came across a used Discovery with a nice bumper and a roof rack. Just wondering if they would fit on mine? I figured I would ask after failing a finding the right search words and driving 5 hours to buy the parts. Thank You for any help. Also if I am throwing a Secondary air code and I dont seem to have the secondary air in the spot I think it goes, is it gonna do any real harm to the engine?

 

Sounds like you are fitting in real well so far. Not having SAI will do no harm to the engine so long as the plugs on the head are plugged.

If it's a discovery 1 (99 and older), then a lot of the parts will not fit. Disco 2 parts (99-04) are pretty much all interchangable minus some odds and ends from the facelift models (03-04)

 

As far as I can tell everything is plugged up. It runs pretty well. Maybe I can source one and re[lace it to clear this CEL. That is very good to know about the parts! It would have really been a drag to drive to Nebraska to get parts that wouldnt fit
