New to LR Discovery- thinking about buying 99 LR Disco II
Does anyone have any advise about a 99 disco II with 123K on it.
If I purchase what can I reasonable expect to have to do to the vehicle. It appears to be in good condition and is at our local LR dealer.
thanks for your help.

I bought a 99 disco ii in April with about the same miles.
So far I have replaced the following
Brakes, o2 sensors, mass air flow sensor, water pump. Service the trans and oil and cleaned the throtle body.
It is a great truck although you will find yourself spending a little more money maintaining it.
All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

there good cars, if you plan on keeping it for a long time, you will have to put money into it. there very fun cars to drive, and always put a smile on your face during your commute or vaction. make sure the person that owned it before took care of it, these cars are toyotas. in my perspective its the same reliabilty of a dodge product. depending on price, thats a good buy.
Mark, I have a 99 D2, had it going on 6 years. As a retired service manager and member of 3 or 4 Rover clubs, I cann tell you just about everything you need to know.
PM me your tele number and a good time for me to call you and lets talk.

Just as a rough number; how much did those services cost?
I know that this car will be more expensive to maintain than my infiniti; I just want to know what I'm in for.
Thanks for your time.

It depends on what you can do yourself. The FIRST thing that you need to do is have the front driveshaft rebuild. Do a search on this forum for "doomed" and you will see what I mean.
