Default New (to me) Kumho MT tires!!!

Well my friend has a 2004 Disco G4 and he had these Kumho MT tires and for whatever reason decided to get rid of them. Seeing how I have and older version of the Cooper Discoverer CTS tires called Discoverer LSX, I asked if i could have the Kumhos....he said yes...

I got them swapped out today and driving from the tire shop I could feel what it's like to be in tank. You can here those tires hum as you get faster and faster. LOL. Luckily we cant go too fast, too long on St. Croix so it doesnt bother me much. I kept my Discoverers since they have very good life left.

Can't wait to take them off road!

I just bought the same tires but haven't gotten them mounted yet. Let me know what you think.

I think you will find that they vibrate a little bit and you can hear them "hum" pretty well. I don't know what kind of driving you do or what tires you have had before. I never had off road tires except for these so i can only compare to stock tires. PLUS where I drive i can't go fast enough where they will "annoy" me. I think I need to get used to them.

But if they are as good off road as they look then I will be happy.

I read a lot about them before I bought and most said they were more quiet than your typical mud tire, wears longer, and performs very well in everything (one fellow said they suck in wet grass...) So I bit, of course it helps that they aren't too expensive. So far you are the most local person I have talked with as everyone else was from Europe.

Cool. I guess it's up to us to let everyone else know how we like them. I don't know how long mine where on my friend's G4. I know he has a full length roof rack, front bull bar, and a wife and 2 kids always riding in it so I wonder if/how the added weight might have worn the tires. I have NO extra weight on my rig .... hopefully the remaining tread will last a good while.

You have a clean slate! I'd like to see how long you decide to keep them and how they work out for you especially after you mount them.

Those look pretty sweet, I had noticed them on your friends G4 in pics and they really set off the looks of his truck.
What tire did he get to replace them with?
