New parts! Pics of the Transformation!
My parts from Hi Country Offroad started arriving recently. It took quite a while, as my order fell right in the middle of their move to Tennessee, but they are finally showing up and I am stoked!
On the list...
Rock Sliders
Three Hoop Front Winch Mount Bumper
Rear Bumper
Skid Plate
Before pics first! Here's the Disco just a couple of days after I bought it. I had just installed the 255 70R16 BFG A/T KOs.

Then I pulled the running boards off.

And installed the 2" OME HD Suspension.

And now, the transformation continues!
So let's start with the rock sliders...
I went at it alone, so I got an affordable SUV Floor Jack and some Jack Stands at the local O'Reilley's and put 'em to use. After I removed the original plastic trim, I started started by pre-positioning the rock sliders on the jack stands, lifting the stands just high enough to get the sliders touching.

From there, I jacked the slider up flush with the rocker, just so it lifted the suspension a little. The jack stands lift high enough now to put even pressure on each end of the slider.

Now it was a matter of drilling through all the way through the door sill at the five different holes in the slider with a 3/8" bit. Four at the front door, one in the rear door.

Nuts and bolts were all supplied, slid right in, and voila! New rock sliders! Took me about two and a half hours total for installation. I think the final product looks great! Simple, clean, and low profile.

I've already removed the factory brush guard set-up, in anticipation for the new front bumper which should arrive tomorrow. I'll post pics in this same thread on that install.

I did have to go around and drill from the inside for the lower holes. The "step" part of the slider, for lack of a better word, made clearance difficult for the drill to line up to drill in at a perpendicular angle. So I just drilled straight through from the inside and straight out the outer holes for those. No prob!
I love the pic's and your truck. I also enjoy what the first two pictures demonstrate = 1.My house days after the purchase of a Land Rover, 2. My house days after the purchase of a Land Rover.
just bustin - great rig

Winch mount bumper arrived today!!
Protective packaging got worn through a little bit, so there will be some touch-up necessary. Fortunately, everything comes painted with Duplicolor spray on truck bed liner, so it's totally easy to just rattlecan the shiny spots!

Pulled out the front pieces of the wheel well. Made it easy to disconnect the harnesses for the headlight washer jets and fog lights.

Pulled the four bolts from the brackets outside the crush cans and the bumper pulled right off.

The little tabs that tie in the wheel well, fender and oem bumper rubbed a little, so rather than remove them, I just cut the unnecessary pieces off. Gave me an excuse to get the angle grinder out.

POWER TOOLS!!!!!

Okay, so after removing the crush cans, the mounting points slide right into place. Four bolts, and it's done!

...aaand with the three Hella Rallye 4000s...

Next up is the rear bumper. Waiting on delivery....
