Default New plugs, new wires, new coils & and still misfiring

I recently replaced the plugs, wires, and coil packs on my Disco 2 w/ 130k. THe plugs are NGK plugs (bought the same ones as replecements), my wires are Magnecor 8mm, and coil packs are Bosch. When I crank up, and when I accelerate, it's apparent that my Disco is still misfiring. Some other correlating details are that I am getting worse MPG than usual.

I'm not getting any codes thrown at me either. Can't figure out what is going on..

I appreciate any feedback on this issue. Thanks!

I had a similar situation. Changed plugs and wire to new Magnecores and the same thing. It would idle rough especially after you started it and then the computer switched to closed loop.

I changed the front two O2 sensors and now it idles like a Lexus.... Well maybe not exactly a Lexus... But it runs right now.

Check to see if it misfires right when the computer goes closed loop. I have an Ultragage and I was able to see that the O2 sensors were not reading good. When it would go to closed loop, it seemed like the computer tried to compensate and would drastically lean out the motor. Then it would misfire.

O2 sensors fixed it.

Wow the insight is much appreciated. So it was the two O2 sensors forward of the Cat, ey? I've never done an O2 sensor replacement before, but it looks pretty standard.

I'm thinking i'll just replace all 4 while i'm at it LOL

Prolly don't need to do the back ones. try the front ones first. Make sure you use Bosch only.
Like I said, Rock Auto sells them. They are as easy to change as changing two spark plugs!!

BTW, add a little dielectric grease to the O2 wiring connector when done... I am sure you are gonna take it offroad and that should help repel water from the connection.

Some guys have had bad luck with the Bosch ones and have used the ones from the U.K. that those guys use as replacements. They say they never have a problem with them

Luckyjayb, which ones are you referring to? I was under the impression that bosch was the way to go just not any from a parts store or Amazon because they sit around for years.
