Okay, new to the forum, but wanted some input. Just picked up an '03 Disco for a wicked deal and just wondering what else needs to be done to her.
This is the list that has been currently done in the last 3 months. Please if anyone could help me in the "what's going next?"
Current Repairs Done:

New Drivers Door Actuator
New Power Steering Res
New Oil, Pan, Gasket and Pump
New Front Crank Seal

Both Head Gaskets replaced
Both Main Belt Idlers

Yes long list but I know she's hiding more LOL. Any thoughts beside the tranny to be looked at
Cheers

I would look at the front prop shaft and the rear 1/4 for rot. since discovery 2 love to rust and rot out that area. you might also want to check the front shock mounts because they seem to rust and start to separate and weaken.
That's the thing, no issues at all! But I know there is something I'm missing, maybe not. Maybe I got lucky. No lights on, no steering issues, no brake issue, engine sounds strong minus a little ticking when I first start her up. What about oil? I know there are different types to put in, but for Vancouver weather, daily driving, would 15-40 still be okay?
15w40 Rotella works great in Seattle, should be fine in Vancouver.
Have you actually read the codes to verify that all is clear or are you going by the dash lights alone?
You could indeed be lucky but warning lights on these have been known to have been tampered with at sale. For peace of mind, check with a scan tool. Actually get yourself an OBDII code reader if you haven't already. Ultragauge or any bluetooth phone dongle will work great.
