Default New rear bumper

Last time I went wheeling, I ripped my rear bumper cover off. So, I figured it was time for an upgrade.

I did a little research and bought the Tactical Rovers HD rear bumper from Justin at Lucky 8. He provided great customer service as always.

I bought it because I thought it looked the best, the price was a little lower than others, and it looks like it offers the most protection. I had already dented in the rear quarter, so I didn't mind doing some trimming to make the new bumper fit.

I think it turned out pretty good. Let me know what you guys think.

Matt

That looks great! I have the same color rover, so now I know what mine will look like with a new rear bumper!

it looks like the rear quarters had to trimmed off right behind the well wheel...

Thanks! I'm very happy with it so far. Let us know if you end up getting one. I don't think many Discovery 2 owners have this bumper.

The install wasn't too bad. It took a few hours, and the worst part was cutting up the factory stuff.

I've got the Bottorf "lil guy" winch bumper with no winch yet. I got it for cheap on Landroversonly classifieds to replace my factory bumper. I'll probably upgrade to an ARB in the near future.

You're correct. This picture shows approximately what needed to be trimmed. Also, the other side was already dented from ripping the rear bumper off, so it didn't bug me to cut a little.

rear bumper sits a little low on the contour of the body sides but nice anyway.

lucky you got your front bumper off CL instead of from that company. nightmare stories but looks pretty nice.

id take the exact same rig for sure.

Default Bumper Cut

What did you use to make the cut? Reciprocating saw?
