New rear bumper needed
After all of this time with a pristine back bumper, I backed into a tree. It was at very low speed (my depth perception isn't as good in reverse, it seems) but I heard the crunch and it is definitely cracked. I will resist the temptation to soapbox on brittle plastic. It doesn't bother anyone but me, but that's enough.
I'm definitely not going to put another plastic bumper on it, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, either. I have an ARB on the front. Can anyone who has a steel back bumper suggest a good replacement?

If you don't want to spend a ton of money then the DA5646 is a decent bumper. AB has a good price in their ebay store of $414.95 with shipping. It looks like the bumper is out of stock until 1/5/18, but if you can wait it saves some coin.
DA5646 looks like> Land Rover Discovery 2 Rear Bumper - Heavy Duty
AB's ebay store > http://stores.ebay.com/Atlantic-Brit...p2047675.l2563 Good Luck!

Yep AB on Ebay = 414.00-430.00 shipped. I'm extremely happy with mine. It bolted right on (AB shows two people installing it = I did it by myself). After it was bolted up I used LR bottle jacks and blocks of wood to get it exactly where I wanted it before I cranked down on the mounting bolts. Mine has been on my Kalahari right at 2.5 years now and the finish is holding up well.
I really really really really want another one for Old Faithful. I hate loading stuff on the roof rack and basically tip toeing or just waiting for the OEM bumper to one day crumble...

I have a buddy that runs a fabrication company that will be making me front and rear bumpers. He normally does Tacoma offroad bumpers but I'm wanting something a closer to the factory look but a lot more stout. Once I have them on mine I will post pictures, and direct this forum to him if he wants to make more.
I really like the Greg Davis bumpers, too. But they are super low profile and I have a big ARB on the front.... It might make me look.... Unbalanced.
