Default New rear frame installed...

Picked up my Disco this week. Had a new rear frame section welded in. The shop also plated a hole in the frame near the cat. The rest of the frame was grinded, primed and painted. Threw in a new Bosch fuel pump while the tank was out as a preventative measure. A new Britpart rear bumper was the icing on the cake. No more rusty frame and busted welds at the rear!

Looking good! So many Dll's are in desperate need of such attention. This is on my list to do, if my new rover makes the cut. The job doesn't look terribly difficult to me. Thank for posting the pictures, good incentive for me.

Frame section, bumper, used rust free hitch and tank strap, and fuel pump...$1200. Labor...$1000. $2200 all said and done. My truck was all sorted out before this project. A donor truck just wasn't an option. My interior is near perfect, no leaks, Turner long block, tons of suspension bits, all new cooling system, etc. I hated to spend the money, but the Disco should be good for 10+ years or more. It was worth it to me.

Well done! Definitely worth it to keep a good truck on the road instead of giving up and driving a soul-less road-appliance!

The frame section can be bought for under $700. I am thinking about buying one for our rover.

Yep. The frame section itself was around $600 shipped.

Where did you get the frame section from?
