Default New Rover V8 Engine Links

Since a lot of people come on the site for general info I thought I would put these links here, and show the options for new Rover Engines. FYI there is an LS Swap under development. I saw V8 Developments in a facebook group, and thought why not start a thread, maybe make it a sticky, where people whose blocks go can research. Of course, add any I miss.

Affordable Aluminum Buick / Rover Stroker Motor, by Kurt Schley

I thought this was cool if anyone is rebuilding from scratch. I would think a 4.0 block would be perfect for this setup.

You have to add Eric Brown's company https://www.trailhead4x4.com/
I have seen two of the conversions now and they are awesome
He is in Cleveland Ohio

Well, this was kind of for Rover Engines, but more info is always better.

Collie

Good info.

How is your Turner engine going? How many miles on the engine?

I got my Turner installed in March. Nice to have some peace of mind.... and reliability .... headed up north to the Arctic.

Just awesome. It's got 40k on it or so. I had to do the head gaskets, but I found some funny business from the shop that put my short block in so I don't blame Turner in any way. The shop did a crap job.

The Kent Sports Torque H180 Cam really likes the porting and polishing I did, as amateur as it is, there is a noticeable difference especially passing. If I could do it all over again I would buy a Turner Long Block with the Cam and the gas flowed cylinder heads, and port match the exhaust manifolds. Sometimes it idles so smooth I can hardly believe it. That or go really nuts and get the Toddco 5.0l. As much as it is improved there is always room for more power.

Found another builder of Rover V8’s. The LS Swap May make them obsolete over here, but having already purchased a Turner Sleeved Block I feel like I will stick with it.

Would eventually love to get a cylinder head with oversized valves and get the ECU flashed.

Yeah, not a big deal, but with ACE’s awesome LS thread that has all the info anyone could need to do the LS swap, it may be a bit redundant.

trailheads swap does maintain the Rover ECU which is cool, but I wonder if your better off with a GM ECU to tune yourself. Not many can tune the Bosch ECU.
