New steering damper
I got my shipment of OME shocks and springs on monday. Can't actually change the springs and shocks until I get the rear airbags from Arnott and the SLS spacers from RTE. But I decided I could go ahead and install the new steering damper. After a trip to the store for an 18mm socket, the job took about 10 minutes! From a quick test drive it seems to have made a significant improvement in my wandering around on the road problem. Wish i'd done it a few months ago. Now I just need those last few parts and a weekend of clear weather :-)
well i have had a shaking problem and comes to find out it was the steering damper. well i ended up paying 70 from bap geon. nobody else had one. well hopefully it takes me only ten min. is there any tricks or anything you would recomend?

I did not even have to jack up the front end! I found that an 18" breaker bar was very helpful in getting the nuts loose. Not sure if it matters, but I arranged the breaker bar perpendicular to the tie rod, so I didn't put too much twisting torque on the tie rod. BTW, they are Ny-loc nuts, so will be stiff all the way off. The shop manual calls for 92 ft-lb torque when putting them back on.
