I'm looking at getting new springs for my disco 2 and was wondering if I should go with heavy duty springs(OME779) considering I am looking at putting a bumper in later on, or if I should just go with medium duty springs(OME777). thanks for the help

 

I'm running the OME HD setup with an ARB Bumper and 9500lb winch. It's too stiff in my opinion when the truck is empty, and if I wasn't towing a boat I'd recommend the medium springs. The only time the HD's aren't too stiff for me is when the truck is fully loaded down for expeditions/towing.

I'd go with MD unless you really need more lift. MD is a lot nicer ride

 

Medium duty are a harsh bouncy ride as well unloaded.

And I have a factory Discovery A bar on the front of mine, though no steel bumper.

If I ever wear these out I will go back to a stock equivalent.

 

I also have the MD with a tf bumper and no winch. The ride is still a little stiff but the tf is a pretty light bumper as far as steel bumper go.
