New Wires/Plugs and still throwing P304

We can now shatter the myth that coil packs go bad in pairs of cylinders. For reference, I had a misfire on cylinder 4 - P0304. I replaced the coil pack and it runs fantastic! I bought a pair of used coil packs off of ebay for $29 + $10 shipping.
The job wasn't bad. Just take your time and make sure you have the rave CD manual so you can see the exploded view of the bolts you need to remove.
While I had the upper plenum off I found the slight coolant leak under the throttle body. Replaced the gasket.
Thanks for everyone's help!

I am starting to see a pattern, we have had a rash of people do a tune up using those plugs and they all have had a single cylinder mis fire that cannot be tracked down or cured.
Do yourself a favor and go and buy Champion plugs, the cheap copper ones and put those in the truck, clear the code and see what happens.
I am betting that your mis fire goes away.

Makes sense. The coil pack sits right up against the engine block. Prob got too hot or too wet over the years and went bad like a lot of other things on a V8 4x4 truck. I always replaced dist caps when I would do cables and plugs on my jeeps ![Big Grin](https://landroverforums.com/forum/images/smilies/lxvR5hR.png)
That's awesome you found and fixed it man.
Now come show me how to take all that stuff off so I can replace my valve cover gaskets.

When does it happen? Only in the morning/cold start?
