You can use Valvoline power steering fluid, or any other brand it does not matter - get 2 qts of the synth stuff. Get a bottle of Lucas power steering additive. You need a turkey baster or something to drain the PAS fluid from the reservoir. If your reservoir has only one cap then you cannot drain all the fluid with a baster, if you are **** like me then you can remove the reservoir to get all the fluid out. Fill the reservoir with fresh fluid and run the engine, turn the steering to full lock in both directions a couple of times. Repeat the drain and refill process and this time add the Lucas stuff - you're done. No there is no drain plug on the steering box.

I would not taint a synthetic fluid with Lucas swill. Just my opinion that all Lucas products are complete garbage. It is amazing how much they can charge for bright stock dyed different colors. The purple lubegard additive though is decent stuff.

Most additives are swill, but the Lucas PAS stuff is good and stops leaks if you have. Leave it out if you prefer.

Personally I think the White Shepard is the best stuff for power steering leaks. It works differently from the Lucas and will help stop external leaks as well as internal leaks which the Lucas will not (sort of condensed version of something Disco Mike told me on the phone one time.)

If you need a oil additive you need a new oil-Spike

This goes for all fluids in my humble not that anyone ever listens opinion.
