Next Head Gasket Saga
Well I think it is my turn after four years of trouble free service. I got a misfire then check engine light. As I was home when it happened, I decided to wait til tomorrow to get the codes read. The wife took it to the store and it dumped all the coolant on the ground. Towed it home to await further diagnosis.
So my question is are the ARP studs a good option or are the torque to yield LR pieces better?

Seems that the only people I know who go to studs, are those creating large amounts of power (pressure) from their motors. I replaced my head gaskets a year ago and used the top-end kit from A-B with TTY headbolts. I made sure the threads were cleaned in the block and there was plenty of oil under the bolt-shoulder. Torqued like silk; no galling or chattering. Since then it has been a leak-free Rover! I also did a 60k service on it at the same time as most of the parts/fluids, had to come out.
I see you rebuilt your front prop shaft. One of my u-joints in the Hookes had all the needle bearings on one trunion, sieze and forge the bearings into one big mass on the u-joint. The cap was rattling and came off like a burnt piece of tin. Good feeling to have brand new greasable joints!

Update:
It appears that the throttle body heater plate was leaking enough to cause the mis fire, and that was the cause of all the water leaking out. Kit ordered and will be here in time for Christmas. Going to get codes read today to see if it was in a coil (multiple mis fires) or just one plug.
I must just have jumpy nerves about the head gaskets.
