Do I need to remove the engine to remove the heads? I have removed most of the bolts on the pass side, I broke a bunch of tools too, I think the torque on these things has got to be around 200lbs. SO I have stripped a bolt, I will get to that one later, my real delimna is the rear bolt drivers side. GRRRR, its in just an awefull spot, how to remove, any tricks? I am thinking of bending a half inch extender just for this job.

Use only black impact type sockets, and no, you don't need to remove the engine but you should remove the hood for better access to the head bolts.

Thanks. I guess I will invest in some new sockets. I am not sure the lbs of the compressor I have. I dont think its enough to break the bolts loose though, they are on there good. What about accessing the hard to get to bolts?

For the last bolt on the driver's side, I use a 1/2 in drive 36 in extension with a 1/2 in drive impact universal on a chrome socket(clearance issues) with a 2 ft breaker bar.Good times. I haven't broken a socket yet.
