I could fit a few slices of deep dish pizza in that gaping hole in the frame? A bit of rust you say?

The truck is less than 10 minutes from me. I saw the ad the other day and didn't even get off the couch... That said, if someone else wants it I'm happy to go eyeball the rest of it for them.

I went to look at this one today in NJ.

https://southjersey.craigslist.org/c...811183801.html

Guy was a used car flipper who bought it at auction. 3 amigos, SES, flashing S/M and more codes than I cared to count. Plus spilled green coolant was all over the reservoir when I pressure tested the cooling system (which lost a pound in 5 minutes). The frame wasn't bad, and it's an SE7 with DVD and 4 new Cooper street tires, the Pass Rear was low however. IIRC, no ACE due to only one filler cap in the PS reservoir. I never got as far as checking for rear air but I noticed the remotes for the audio in the back seat area. Replacement wind screen with no heater wires but otherwise decent interior. Original fob but the remote was trashed and inop.

'bit O rust' I thought that meant Disco code for 'needs a welder' Still, it's mostly out back and can be repaired.

Ahab's one seems nice on the outside too(and se7), back in my home state! Would make a nice transplant onto a good drive train...

Less and less of these every day.... they seem to either go for 12-20g's or 'turd' prices....

To be fair, it was not a bad looking truck. A bunch or sorting, which could just be Option B, some O2 sensors and an XYZ switch, although I did see something about fuel pressure in the codes. And now that I think about it, there was an ominous tick once she warmed up. Could well have been slipped sleeves. In any event it would be a decent candidate for an engine swap and in the end you'd have a pretty nice truck There was a fist size dent in the pass front door and it needed a front bumper cap but otherwise was clean and straight. I didn't hate the guy selling it either. I noticed he called me earlier this morning and never left a message but I've already purchased something else. Definitely looked like a truck worth saving for an experienced mechanic.. I just wasn't into the SE7 bit and at $2,100 I suspect he owns it for more than I'm willing to pay.

Now that’s one rusty frame but hey some people here say it’s easy to weld a new frame on. Me personally I’m not a welder and would stay away even if it was free

my frame has some evidence of starting to swell. I will put a new rear section on if we own it long enough to require it.
