The LR3 is the Mrs D/D. I love that 4.4L Jag V8, it drives nice, and I like the interior. However vs a D2 I find the armrest on the front seats always seem in the way when reaching back for something, and I'm not a big fan of it's looks vs a D1/D2. It's a very nice and capable SUV, but I still prefer the D1/D2 personally.

I’ve only sat in them, and like the D II seating position better, but did not adjust the seat so maybe that’s it.

just something about D2’s I love. I do dream about the LR4’s supercharged V6 in mine though. Maybe engine/transmission swap. I wonder if you could swap ecu’s and if the abs on the D2 could integrate. These are questions for someone with more knowledge or money than I.

You put the radio somewhere else when you want to keep the truck original. I actually like the fact that the owner didnt want to destroy the dash or the wiring.

How do you destroy a dash with internal radio wiring?

Aftermarket radio harnesses & aftermarket stereo’s if done properly are 100% reversible, just PNP.

I think the stereo in the console required way more modifications to the wiring & mounting. Silly place for it IMHO, but to each their own.
