No Brake Lights
I have a 2002 D2 and my brake lights have went out. I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses. I have done some searching but have not really found much information that fits my situation. My truck does shift out of park so do I need to worry about the switch? Also I have not checked the lights in the bumper could those be the culprit?
Thanks for your help.

Right now i know i have power at the fuse box, the brake light switch, and nothing in the rear. I am getting on Rave right now to see where else i need to check. My cruise control does not work either, does that help?

Well I would have to admit i am kind of inept when it comes to the electrical side of things. I took the plug out of the switch and checked it for voltage. How would i check the switch with the plug installed? I am also at a loss of where i need to check now, i am not schooled on reading these electrical diagrams.

Pull the brake light switch out and check for continuity when operating it by hand. If you don't have a multimeter, connect a jumper from your battery to one terminal and check the other one with your test light and operate the switch by hand.
Okay there are three wires going into the plug. When i tested the on on far left and the one of far right i recieved 12vs whether or not it was depressed. I then tested far right and middle got 12vs till i depressed the switch and then it went to zero.

if there is a change the switch should be working (it is just a switch after all) if it was broken inside there would be no change. somewhere in the back of the truck you need to find the connector where the circuit splits to the 3 brake lights and check for power there. this is where I would start, unfortunately my rave manual is for my D1 so I cant tell you what to look for but it should be in the back of the truck. it should have quite a few green/purple wires in it and you will want to test them on both sides for power while the brake is pressed.
just to let you know mine shows that connector under one of the panels near the roof I believe on the passenger side, may be worth checking there first

just a side note the green/purple wire should go to 12 volts when the brake is pressed, usually this will be reversed when testing by hand because the brake pedal not pressed will actually be pushing the button down and when you press the pedal down it releases the button (I hope that makes sense), if you dont have an assistant to press the pedal down for testing purposes, this may come in handy cause if you pull the switch out and let it hang down it is as if the brake is being applied!
Look in your Rave manual, Electrical library and search for C0077. That will be an illustration of the connector, with the pinouts numbered and the wire colours.
Then search the Electrical Circuits Diagrams manual for S215, that's the switch. You can see from those where the wires go.
C0075-1 (GO) is the supply and will should always have 12v when the ignition it on. C0075-3 (GP) goes to the brake lights and will have 12v when you depress the pedal.
