Default No brake, reverse lights and can't get out of park

Hi everyone, was hoping to get help with a problem on my Disco II. It all of a sudden would not go into gear and the brake and reverse lights stopped working. I replaced the brake light switch with no resolve and have no blown fuses. I checked for power to the switch and there is none. Is there a relay or fuse I'm not finding up to the switch?

I had this problem once... was caused by a penny getting lodged under the shift mechanism and preventing the lever from fully engaging park. It was basically stuck in park. Pull the cover off and check to see something didn't fall into the slot under the shifter for park.

Well whatya know... Thanks to everyones advice I checked fuse which was good, brake switch still ok and penny in shifter. Really a penny in the shifter? Damn I found a penny in the shifter! Wasn't the problem but how the hell. The issue was a bad connector to the brake switch. And here is the penny

Well it was seared into my mind... The penny struck me about 50 miles buried back in the mountains. Thought I was in big trouble because I couldn't start the truck or get it out of park and mobile for a tow even.

Glad it was fixed goonie!
