I live in Alabama. This would be one of the very few perks.

To each his own, I like the way my bumper looks. Maybe chop some off but I wouldnt remove the whole thing, thats probably why I wont put on an aftermarket bumper.

I generally try to buy around trade in value, which I did for this one (5k). Could I sell it for 7k with the bumper (that has a crack)? Doubt it. These aren't $40k vehicles anymore, so yes I will buy some waterfront property. Where is it, Lake Martin?
Want to sell it? Seriously. I'm in Alabama too.

You could build your own bumper for under $500 if you are clever mister student.

Also if you are in the states, you do have to have some kind of bumper (what qualifies as a bumper varies state to state) and you will get a fix it ticket from highway patrol.

Finally someone that understands you shouldn't block airflow with huge lights!

I don't have the money (student) or want to put a $1k bumper on a $5k vehicle either. Also, the washer fluid never worked anyway (leaking somewhere), so taking it off wasn't a big deal to me. Anyhow, I just thought I would show a pic if any of you with 03-04s have been toying with the idea of doing the same.

You will loose MPG, 2-3 if not more.
If you never drive on the highway you wont loose any, but if you drive highway at all you will loose a good deal of MPG.

Well eventually I plan on sticking a winch that will block air flow but am adding an ultra gauge to watch engine temps closely :3

A winch is far different, in my world a winch is absolutely necessary. The lights are a nice addition, but I have a roof rack to hold extra lights, and they sell cheap light bars for the roof for around $150. A winch doesn't block airflow as much as 2 Hella 4000s

Thank you for this. I bought an 03 D2 last year - Have steel rear bumper and I want to eventually get a front one. But the plastic on the stock bumper is so brittle and it looks bad with the holes I have in it, so I want to just take it off. I wasn't sure how it would look, but now I can see that It doesn't look bad and gives much more front ground clearance. I'm definitely going to do this.
