Default No More Valvoline Synthetic Power Steering Fluid!!

Went to Autozone, Pep Boys and NAPA...no one has quart sizes of Valvoline Syn PS fluid. Napa said the part number has been superceded by another part number (can't remember what it is) and the new part number is not synthetic. I checked the Valvoline website and it's not listed anywhere. Is there an alternative?

Yeah, any synthetic PS fluid. Mobil 1 for example.

I bought some last week and had a similar experience, autozone just flat out doesn't carry it, pep-boys was out, and NAPA only carries the little bottles. I grabbed all 5 of them and a day later went back to pep-boys and they had the samall bottles as well - no big bottles here in CA, also no BG44K sold here in Riverside county...whats up with that?

You can find 44K in Riverside, go to the B&G web site and use their locator.

I found a local speed shop here in Charlotte that sells Royal Purple synthetic ps fluid. $8 a quart. Going to buy all they have today!

Speaking of which, how do you properly drain the old fluid before adding new?

If you are talking for the power steering and possibly ACE if you have it, it is too messy to drain.
e-mail me your tele number and I call and walk you thru flushing it out.
